RAINFALL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONSAs rain is of continually increasing importance, measurements of quality and quantity call for various sophisticated pieces of equipment. PLUVIÓMETRO.COM has created a definitive device, the durability, precision, versatility, and economic feasibility of which put it in a class by itself. It can be used at the same time as a normal rainguage, a rain totalizer, and an acid rain guage without any one of them interfering with the performance of another.
Type: Hellmann, (Rainfall) reception area calibrated to 200 cm2, World Meteorological Organization (WMO) standards; Material: Polycarbonate, highly resistant plastic substance, treated against ultra-violet radiation. Therefore it does not have soldering joints, pleats or rivets and thus does not possess the main cause of deterioration with respect to the harshness of the sun and the cold, all of which guarantees a practically unlimited life. Test Tube: Measured in litres of rainfall, according to international standards (WMO), it is manufactured in transparent polystyrene glass, much more exact and resistant to impact than classic glass test tubes. Accuracy ± 0.05 litres. Reception Vessel: Low pressure polythene, unbreakable and undeformable in any type of fall. Support: Refined stainless steel. Errors: None; given the precision of the fittings, there is no evaporation or liquid oss. Colour: White. VERSATILITY: * It can be transformed at will into a totalizer, in order to carry out rainfall controls in inaccessible and/or remote places, also for regions whose plentiful rainfall goes beyond the limits of normal rainguages. * It is also capable of collecting and isolating in a small flask, the first drops of rain, as while falling these drops bring down with them pollutants suspended in the air, acid rain.
- 1= Superior container/collector. -
2= Inferior container/protector - 4= Recipient
container (Designed with rounded edges to ensure that no water is maintained in
the container upon pouring) - 6= Lateral wings (Specially designed to render inexact placement of the recipient container, (4), impossible) - 7= Support buffers (These, in conjuction with the three lateral wings, (6), form an air chamber to insulate the recipient container, (4), and prevent errors due to evaporation.) - 8= Close-ended output tube (An essential part for application as a TOTALIZER. Information concerning this application is available upon request.) - 9= Outlet (Directs water to the recipient container, (4). It is protected by a stainless steel filter to prevent obstruction by insects and debris. The CONTAMINATION PARTICLE COLLECTOR easily adapts to this outlet. Information concerning its function is available upon request.) - 10= Post - NOTE: Observe the millimeter adjustments between (1) and (2), as well as between (4) and (9) and between (4) and (9). |
